We believe that stone materials enhance environments and enrich lives of those who interact with them. Stone has universal appeal and its appearance can only improve with wear and the passing of time - we would go so far as to say that a well-maintained floor or wall in place over a number of years has more appeal than one which has been newly laid. As well as supplying stone for private commissions, we work with architects and designers on projects as varied as domestic projects, retail spaces, corporate reception areas and restaurants. Whether intended to redefine the interior of a period home or as a complement to steel, glass and timber in a contemporary environment, natural stone provides a harmonious solution to the demands put on it. For the better part of 20 years, the people in DOLMEN STONE have earned recognition for their expertise and service with all things stone. As well as assisting clients select the right material for their project we give comprehensive advice on fixing, protecting and cleaning stone floors, cladding and many other applications. Having gone to great lengths to build relationships with skilled and reliable suppliers we can confidently claim to provide the very best materials, finished and lead times. Quality control of stone throughout the world is notoriously irregular - and there have been occasions when it has appeared that we are the only company aware of this! Unfortunately, it is not unheard of for 2nd or 3rd grade stone to be bought by inexperienced stone suppliers. This can mean an order may not be completed satisfactorily by an unsuspecting importer. The majority of stone is supplied riven, bush-hammered, flamed and in the case of building stone, supplied natural or machine cut.
